Lawyer from the Autonomous University of Bucaramanga, Master in Business Legal Advice (LL.M.) from the Instituto de Empresa (Madrid, Kingdom of Spain). Specialist in Competition Law, from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá D.C.).

He was part of the Judicial Branch of the Public Power, where he achieved the dignity of Judge of the Republic in 2006. From there he went to litigation and legal advice in the city of Bogotá D.C., in the firms Pinilla González & Prieto (Attorney Senior, 2007-2008), De la Calle Londoño López & Posada Abogados (Senior Lawyer and then General Director of Processes, 2008-2015) and Garrigues (Senior Lawyer, 2015-2016).

In 2016 he began his independent practice, founding the firm Castro Estudio Jurídico, a firm that has been recognized in different international rankings, such as Legal 500 (Litigation, Band 4) and Leaders League (Quality Practice).

In his professional practice, he has represented clients in sectors of the economy such as public services, power generation, the aeronautical industry, financial institutions, or the university education sector. He has also been an adviser to public entities and control bodies.

As a university professor, he has taught courses on Constitutional Law and General Procedural Law, and has contributed to press articles and publications. He has also been a collaborator of the Center for Procedural Law Studies (CEDEP).
